Everything. Location, room, cleanliness, facilities, food, drink but mainly THE STAFF. I've been staying here while my partner has an operation at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital. After checking in together on night one, I've been here alone. The staff have gone above and beyond at every stage of my stay. The care and kindness they have shown me has been unwavering - at reception, with room service, by housekeeping and at the bar and restaurant. When I had to book an extra night (twice) at short notice they easily accommodated me and also gave me my old room back. I've had the odd extra treat from room service and at the bar and I just generally feel cossetted. All of this has been so welcome and appreciated while dealing with hospital visits. Notwithstanding the location has easy access to coffee shops, restaurants and a lovely walk along the river to the Bullring etc. Would not stay anywhere else in Birmingham if and when we visit again.

right from the reception the hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and polite. we were room 15 on the 6th floor. we had a queen room with breakfast included. the room was compact but perfect for our nights stay. it was clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of storage, a desk and chair, tea and coffee. The lighting was subtle so the room felt relaxed. the TV was on the wall. When I sat on the bed, it felt a bit firm, I didnt think I'd sleep well but i actually slept really well. The bathroom was compact with nice shampoo, conditioner etc, nice fluffy towels. Breakfast was included between 6:30-9:30. There was a cooked breakfast, cereal, toast and pastries. Juice, water and hot drinks. I really enjoyed mine. check in and check out was easy. it was close to the Utilita so for a night stay was perfect.

Karen

The room was very clean. The greeting was warm and welcoming by the staff member. Had 2 complementary bottles of water in fridge for us. Lovley touch. Also the location was fantastic in the heart of Broad Street. Only thing let the morning down was the breakfast. No hash browns. Not happy. Only these crisp looking potatoes. No real choice if a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs and sausages. The stay was overall fantastic. Comfortable bed and the towels were so lush and soft. Will definitely stay again. Staff were all polite and friendly. Brilliant hotel. Apart from no hash browns. Can't have breakfast without hash browns.

Very easy to find and located perfectly for shows in the Utilita arena and Sealife. Only few mins walk from the front door of the hotel, there’s also a few restaurants near by and a spar. Parking onsite if pre booked, it is a little tight but very convenient. If you can’t get a space as it is first come first served there is a multi-storey right next door. Breakfast was lovely - very good quality and worth the £12 each we paid the night before. Buffet style but with an omelette station made fresh and waffles. Air con in the room was a nice surprise - needed as it was a particularly hot evening.

Location - we booked for a concert at the Arena close by so really convenient. Room - it was comfortable, clean and quiet - bathroom could have been a little bigger, but served it’s purpose & you work with what you’ve got. Staff - only really communicated with them upon checking in and checking out, but all seemed pleasant, polite & willing to help in any way they could. We didn’t use the restaurant - opted to eat out instead due to options available, just specifically that day, didn’t want what was on offer, but looked like a nice establishment.
